Find Reciprocity Throughout Your Life

“The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.”

- Pablo Picasso.

We created this brand to further community, connection, collaboration, and consciousness. Our clothing serves as a spotlight for the aforementioned. As Tupac Shakur once said, “I'm not saying I'm gonna change the world, but I guarantee that I will spark the brain that will change the world.” It is our hope that our clothing is the light worn by those with the spark within them for change, community, connection, collaboration an consciousness.

About Reciprocity.Life

There are Three Types of Reciprocity.

This form often involves exchanges within families or friends. There is no expectation of a returned favor; instead, people simply do something for another person based on the assumption that the other person would do the same thing for them. This type of reciprocity is related to altruism.

We believe the world needs more of this. Good energy is powered by genuine care. This can displayed in several ways. Often we see it with simple acts such as buying a friend a cup of coffee, or a meal. Small subtle surprises that enrich their lives. Not massive, but meaningful actions.

Generalized Reciprocity

This type involves a calculation of the value of the exchange and an expectation that the favor will be returned within a specified time frame. For example, someone might exchange something they have, whether it is a skill or a tangible item, for something of perceived equal value.

We often admire sports teams and their actions on the field or court. Typically, the players all know each other very well. They know what each is capable of and how to help elevate one another. They are aligned with through a shared mission or purpose which builds trust.

Balanced Reciprocity

This form of reciprocity happens when one party involved in the exchange is trying to get more about it than the other person. Selling a much-needed item at an inflated price is one example of negative reciprocity.

You will not get away with anything in terms of the energy of your intentions and actions. Be mindful of your actions and take account for the results of them. Audit, don’t judge. Communication is everything and you must be able to communicate with yourself well.
