Our Story

In 2021 I got fed up with several things I was witnessing throughout culture and community, both personally and professionally. In 2020, we were told that we were all in this together, but a short time later things felt farther apart than ever. People generally have a hard time connecting, chatting building meaningful relationships, and trusting people. That became even more difficult for people post-2020. Those aforementioned things that most people have challenges with are part of my superhero skillset. I like fighting and I love my friends. 

 

I think of life a lot like a movie. The scenes I was watching looked like a slow-motion car crash. Imagine watching a scene over and over where the main characters constantly made fear-based decisions, without thinking about the consequences of their actions or how it may affect their friend, family, coworkers, community, etc. The movie was a bad reality show that I could not turn off because I was inside of it. 

 

As Spiderman’s Uncle Ben Parker once said, “ With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility.” I have a good level of awareness and emotional intelligence. So, one day I called my friend Badi Tolo. Badi is a Senior Art Director for Kroenke Sports and the founder of The 6th Clothing Company. I went on an 8-minute tirade while driving on I25 sharing what I saw and felt. 

 

3 Days later Badi Delivered me the first Round logo for what is now Reciprocity Creative Coalition.
